HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN TINTED MOISTURIZER

2010's summer season is definitely one of the hottest summer seasons in my opinion. Blame it on El Nino as well. The scorching heat can sometimes make us slack off when it comes to applying stuff on our face like make- up and skin care. Piece of advice. Skip the make- up, but not the skin care. Because our skin will be needing a lot of quenching and care until El Nino bids our land farewell.

Less is more when it comes to make- up this summer season. Too much make- up can clog our pores and can leave our faces with running and caking make- up. Doesn't seem like a good sight eh?

Foundation is an essential part of our everyday make- up routine. But during summer, it might be a bit heavy on the face. So if you don't want to spend for a new, lightweight but expensive foundation, opt for a tinted moisturizer. But if it's still kinda' out of your budget, here's how you can make your very own Tinted Moisturizer.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

FOUNDATION
MOISTURIZER
SPATULA
EMPTY JAR, TUBE, ETC.
SPF CREAM (OPTIONAL)

*It's best to use products with SPF, so opt for existing products that are laden with SPF. But if your existing foundations and moisturizers don't have any, look for an SPF cream in your stash then include it in the list.

Clean the container where you'll mix all the ingredients.

Pour a good amount of the moisturizer into the mixing jar. The amount depends on your preference.

Next, pour the foundation right in the middle of the moisturizer. Make sure that it doesn't overpower the amount of the moisturizer. If you apply the same amount of foundation and moisturizer, you'll defeat the purpose of the lightweight and sheer coverage that you're supposed to get from your formula.

Mix well.

It depends if you want to transfer the formula to a tube, pump bottle, etc.

**IF YOU'RE USING AN SPF CREAM, APPLY WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF THE MOISTURIZER. JUST ADD A BIT MORE OF THE FOUNDATION SO YOU'LL STILL GET SOME COVERAGE.

There you have it! Your very own tinted moisturizer done in less than 10 minutes! This is a good thing to do with foundations and moisturizers that have fallen into obscurity. That way, you won't have to throw them away, and waste moolah at the same time.
