PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: VERSACE BRIGHT CRYSTALS+ A PREVIEW AT MY BUSINESS

THE VERDICT:

I went to my supplier to talk and settle things for my upcoming perfume business. I was planning to get a new perfume since I sold off my J.Lo because I hate her with a passion for releasing a collection made of authentic animal fur. That's why I vowed that I will not support her products anymore. I might be just one person but I'm sure there are a lot of people in the world who hate her as much as I do for supporting cruelty to animals. And I'm more than happy to be one of the growing millions who condemn the fur industry. When I've learned about this disgusting fact about J.Lo, Glow, which is one of my HG perfumes instantly vanished from my list. All of a sudden, it smelled bad and foul, just like the creator herself.

I know my thought may sound ridiculous but have a look at how animals are being treated in fur farms especially in China (Damn you Chinese people! You're all cruel! You're all the real animals! Your economy will fall soon! (This is not a wish, this was predicted by a business tycoon).

Whew! Enough of the ranting. I'll do a separate post for that. But please (and lastly), visit Peta.org and furisdead.com and support their endeavors. It only takes a minute to create one personal statement and letter to send to fur companies via peta.org or furisdead.com. If you can spend a day on blogging or just surfing through the net, make it more meaningful by being a voice to the voiceless.)

Anyhoo, let's now go to our product. Okay, I was saying that my supplier and I met one day to settle things for my perfume biz. Since I only have one perfume, I decided to purchase one. I was inclined to purchasing Escada but I knew that it would smell too sweet for hubby's preference so I decided to get Versace Crystals. It just smelled so ME. :p

But let's criticize the packaging first. It's pretty. It's a perfect accent to a vanity table or bathroom but the cap, though pretty, is hell ginormous so expect to carry a bit of weight in your bag.

Fragrancex.com Description:
Bright Crystal Perfume by Versace, A sweet floral scent with fruity, musky accents. With scents of pomegranate, yuzu, frosted accord, peony, magnolia, lotus, plant amber, musk, and mahogany.

So you all know that I am in love with light floral- fruity scents, which explains my love and fascination over Lanvin's Eclat D' Arpege.

Versace falls into the same category. It smelled floral- fruity at first. I can sort of identify the pomegranate and magnolia in the scent. Then it dries down to a more floral scent, then finally, it settles to a sweet, musky finish (now where did the floral notes go?). But, the final whiff can be likened to a flower of some sort as well, though the floral notes completely disappeared.

As for the staying power, this didn't last that long. It just stayed on for a good 2- 3 hours. It has no connection whatsoever with it being a Singapore version because even in makeupalley, some users of this perfume claims that staying power is not good also. What I do to make the scent last is, I spray it on perfect spots for perfume like the pulse and behind the ears.

Will I purchase this again? Yes and No. I'm off to finding other brands since I've finally discovered how I can enjoy perfume without having to shell out too much cash. And if you all didn't know, I am in love with perfumes as much as I am with make- ups. It's just that, perfumes are just dayum too expensive.

OKAY, SO HERE'S THE PREVIEW PART OF MY BUSINESS. THIS VERSACE PERFUME IS A SINGAPORE- MANUFACTURED PERFUME. 100% AUTHENTIC, YET MANUFACTURED IN SINGAPORE.

Singapore has a lot of registered manufacturers, retailers and distributors for high end European and US brands.

So if a perfume is manufactured in Singapore, it means it is already a "VERSION" which is also the case for US versions.

LOGIC:
ALL AUTHENTIC PERFUMES ARE OBTAINED AND MANUFACTURED FROM EUROPE. SO US AND SINGAPORE MANUFACTURED PERFUMES ARE ALREADY CONSIDERED VERSIONS.

BUT--- THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT "VERSIONS" ARE FAKES. IT'S JUST THAT, THEY ARE NOT EXACTLY AS "PERFECT" AS THE EUROPEAN MANUFACTURED PERFUMES.

BUT STILL, THERE ARE COUNTERFEITERS THAT SOME WILL CLAIM AS AUTHENTIC VERSIONS. BEWARE! THESE ARE THE REAL REPLICAS AND FAKES!

ALL INFORMATION WILL BE DISCLOSED IN MY OFFICIAL SITE SO STAY TUNED. :)

Here's a closer look of Versace bright crystals, which will be part of my perfume business :)

Have a look at the cap. If some would say that I might be selling counterfeit products due to the damn too good to be true prices, inspect this cap thoroughly. This cap is made of glass, which is not the case for counterfeit perfumes. Counterfeit perfumes have caps made of cheap plastic and the paint comes off easily, which goes to show that their metal caps are only painted.

The iconic Versace insignia.

Here's the bottom part of the perfume.

Here's a picture of the back part of the box.

Here's a comparison of two perfume versions: US ORIGINAL AND SINGAPORE ORIGINAL (OUR SUPPLIERS CALL THESE "VERSIONS"): My Lanvin is a US original perfume, while the Versace is a Singapore Original Perfume. In terms of packaging quality, both are excellent. Counterfeiters can't produce fakes or replicas that are too damn beautiful and excellent in terms of quality. The difference lies in the scent pay- off. US originals have stronger scent pay- off, while the Singapore originals have lighter scent pay- off, that's why you pay a cheaper amount for the SG versions. Scents may come off different at first spray. Since US originals have stronger and less diluted oils in the perfume, the actual scent will instantly be smelled by the person. SG perfumes have lighter pay- off and oils are more diluted than the US originals,so during first spray, the wearer might not detect the actual scent. But when both versions contact and settle on the skin, the scents are completely identical.

THE BEAUTY JUNKEE'S TIP:
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW IF THE PERFUME YOU HAVE PURCHASED IS AUTHENTIC?

Perfumes, just like bags, have serial numbers that would guarantee if the product you have purchased is authentic or not. So serial number matching is one way to find out if your perfume is authentic or not
.
Counterfeiters can very much imitate the original packaging with the state of the art technology.

Another surefire way to know if what you have purchased is authentic is the actual perfume smell, not the staying power. Because some perfumes, including the US originals, have poor staying power, which is the case with my Lanvin perfume (refer to the picture above).

Little details may go unnoticed to counterfeiters, which will serve as important details to determining if your perfume is authentic or not.

Take a look at the bottom portion of the box. It SHOULD HAVE a serial number.

Here's the bottom box of the Versace perfume, which will be part of my perfume selection in my business.

SERIAL NUMBER FOUND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX: 615010

Now take a look at the sticker at the base part of the bottle. It SHOULD HAVE a serial number which is completely identical with the serial number printed on the bottom part of the box.

SERIAL NUMBER FOUND AT THE BASE OF THE BOTTLE: 615010

**Now, it's up to you to believe or decide whether my Singapore- manufactured perfumes are original or not. Further details about my Singapore-manufactured perfumes will be explained in my site. :)

SO BUY FROM A TRUSTED SELLER. BUY FROM ME :D
