THE VERDICT:

Stella's perfume line is probably one of the most appealing scents to women aged 30 and above. My titas love it, most especially, my mom. Stella McCartney is her staple perfume. She would always end up buying Stella McCartney though she wants to try something else. She's sensitive to scents. Some perfumes can make here feel light- headed right away so if one scent doesn't make her dizzy or scramble away to avoid smelling it, then it probably is a perfume of some worth and quality.

She's an avid user of Stella McCartney's Sheer. But since Sheer is unavailable in the country, she got this instead. If I'm not mistaken, I think this is Stella's first perfume release.

So let's now review this perfume.

Stella

A fragrance based on the contrast between the freshness and softness of the rose, and the dark sensuality of amber, Stella is a sophisticated scent focused on an intense sense of femininity.

The concept of the Stella McCartney bath line is based on an ecological and organic cosmetology, selecting the best natural raw materials and capitalizing on vegetal extracts based on organic agriculture and on extraction methods that respect and protect the natural life force of the plants.

Notes:
Rose, Peony Flower, Mandarin, Rose Absolute, Amber.

Style:
Sensual. Intense. Feminine.

description from Sephora.com

Stella is almost the same as Sheer. Actually, on first sniff, you can't tell the difference! What only makes it different from the latter is the former's musk-ier scent.

Stella is dominantly floral. At first spray, it goes off as a light floral with just a hint of fruity- ness to it. Then afterwards, it settles as a musky floral scent (due to amber) with a spike of fruit (due to mandarin) to add the feminine- smelling factor to the scent. But overall, the description holds true: it's a sensual and feminine scent.

Stella McCartney perfumes have incredible staying power. They just linger throughout the day, without having to spray for many times. It even rubs on my sheets when I lie on my bed when I get home at night.

Will I buy Stella McCartney? Probably not. Although it's good smelling, I wouldn't want to wear the same perfume as my mom's. Besides, I find musky scents a bit strong and manly. I'm better off with my Lanvin or light and fresh floral scents thankyouverymuch. But if you want to treat mom on her birthday or on mother's day, try giving her Stella McCartney perfumes. She'll thank you for it.
