A very lucky afternoon!

We had to drive trough Oklahoma City on our way to East

Oklahoma City
is the capital and largest city of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The county seat of Oklahoma County, the city ranks 31st among United States cities in population. The city's estimated population as of 2006 was 537,734, with a 2008 estimated population of 1,206,142 in the metropolitan area. In 2008, the Oklahoma City-Shawnee Combined Statistical Area had a population of 1,275,758 residents.

Besides Oklahoma County, the city limits extend into Canadian, Cleveland, and Pottawatomie counties. The city ranks as the 7th-largest city in the nation by land area.

The city was founded during the Land Run of 1889. In 1995, the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City was bombed by a disaffected U.S. Army veteran. With the Oklahoma City bombing resulting in 168 deaths, Timothy McVeigh caused the most destructive act of domestic terrorism in United States history, and the most destructive act of terrorism on American soil prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Try to read this sign in this way: Lot a water :))

...and you'll see a "Lotawatah" here...LOL... oh, btw...this is the Arkansas River

The Arkansas River
is a major tributary of the Mississippi River. The Arkansas generally flows to the east and southeast and traverses the U.S. states of Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

At 1,469 miles (2,364 km) it is the sixth longest river in the United States, the second-longest tributary in the Mississippi-Missouri system, and the 45th longest river in the world. Its origin is in the Rocky Mountains in Lake County, Colorado, near Leadville, and its outlet is at Napoleon, Arkansas. The Arkansas River drainage basin covers nearly 195,000 sq mi (505,000 km²). In terms of volume, the river is smaller than both the Missouri and Ohio Rivers, with a mean discharge of 8,460 ft³/s (240 m³/s).

And this is the spot that made our travel day to a lucky day!

We stopped for an hour and started playing a little bit and WON more than 10 times of that what we invested and it was great BIG amount of money! I don't tell you now how much it was...LOL...I don't want to make you jealouse....LOL...

I wanted to stay there longer and play some more - but David didn't, he wanted to keep the money we won to buy a new RV...LOL... :)

The Casino had a very nice ambiance, tasteful deco and as I told already, great and "hot" slot machines - I'm actually not a gambler, I was just a lucky girl! :)

Hi my friends,

in the meantime we are arrived in Branson, Missouri! The RV place is nice, its located directly at the water of Lake Taneycomo - and the weather was nice too, yesterday!

Today it's gray here and cloudy and much cooler. We met also already all our other "c0-workers" and we got already our work schedule. Luckily we start working only on coming next Wednesday - so we have a week off and enough time to explore Branson. We did our first walk into Down Town yesterday evening and had a fine dinner there and I'll show you some pictures about that tomorrow - not of the dinner of course...LOL.... :)

In the mean time I want to say thank you to all your comments to my last post - you make my day with your nice compliments.

See you later!
Susanne and David
